Our themes provide artists with a creative framework to explore relevant cultural, social, and political issues. They inspire new ideas, foster critical thinking, and encourage meaningful engagement with the world around us. By connecting their work to larger conversations, artists can create pieces that resonate deeply, reach wider audiences, and contribute to impactful dialogue through their art.
Since the pandemic, our themes have been applied across all our juried competitions, including The Artists Forum Festival of the Moving Image and our Juried Arts Festival. Below, you’ll find information about our past and future themes, including overarching themes for multi-year periods.
