BETTY BLACK: VALLEY LOW RECORD RELEASE PARTY

NEW YORK, NY (Feb. 14, 2016) Singer/Songwriter/Producer and musician Sylvia Black of Betty Black gave a wonderful performance last night at Webster Hall’s The Studio, where the multitalented performer hosted the release party for her upcoming album Valley Low (KID Recordings). Black came on stage ready as ever, wearing her 80’s rock inspired custom uniform followed by her equally as cool and suave band members. Black performed song after song such as Come Back Lover, Heartless, and the title track Valley Low as a seasoned pro who still brings something new and fresh every time she goes on stage.

Her sultry and wistful voice and bass playing perfectly showcase her talents as an accomplished songwriter whose collaborations include Black Eyed Peas, Spank Rock, Moby and many more. Her show is a mix between every classic female punk and new wave performer and the sultriness and erotically charged persona of the sex icons from the past. The songs she performed from her new album showcase a wide range of raw vocals, loungey tunes, jazz beats, and punk intensity that make the album an overall comprehensive experience that was an absolute delight to witness live.
