THE ARTISTS FORUM ANNOUNCES NEW PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION SERIES
- NEW YORK, NY (Oct. 18, 2011) THE ARTISTS FORUM invites all emerging and established artists to participate in its second annual photography competition: THE ARTISTS FORUM INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION. The competion is open to artists worldwide and seeks to:
- Engage artists by challenging them to present their best work for juried selection.
- Provide much needed exposure for under-served artists by showcasing their work to the public.
- Enhance artist communications and business contacts.
The AF-IPC offers artists a chance to have their work critiqued by some of the art world’s most influential professionals, win valuable prizes by KATA, an exclusive one-to-one consultation with celebrity photographer Lou Manna, and get published!
- THEME: “PASSION” (see entry form for full details)
- JURORS: MICHAEL GRECCO, LOU MANNA, and MICHAEL ZIDE
- SPONSORS: KATA BAGS, INTERNATIONAL CENTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY
This year’s task is to challenge artists to show interpretations for the word “passion“. The word “passion” (and its derivatives) can be illustrated as a noun – be it physically, socially, politically, or sexually.
Winning entries will be promoted to industry personnel and the public-at-large via an array of media avenues. Winning artists will also be eligible to receive private mentoring sessions from industry leaders and included in a special AF published annual.
