THE ARTISTS FORUM Presents: “Immigrant Stories” featuring special online screenings of “Coffee and a Donut” by Cary Patrick Martin (US) and “Tin Can” by Pat Battistini (US). (Total Program Runtime: 41:32) Part of our new online showcase series, this program begins with a conversation between our featured filmmakers, followed by a screening of their works from THE ARTISTS FORUM FESTIVAL OF THE MOVING IMAGE.

ABOUT THE FILMS:

Coffee and a Donut – (Narrative) 11:28 mins (2018). Writer/Director: Cary Patrick Martin (US) – Pablo is a young Spanish-speaking immigrant. The film explores his journey towards self expression in an English speaking world.

Tin Can – (Narrative) 20 mins (2018) Writer/Director: Pat Battistini (US) – J.C. came to the US as an illegal immigrant child. Now an adult, he finds work as a rodeo clown. When the rodeo is sold, J.C. searches for happiness. He finds it near the Mexican border but the price paid could get him kicked out of the country
